What'll be the
fate of 100LL?
By AOPA ePublishing staff
As
the sole industry using leaded fuel, general aviation is
increasingly coming under the microscope because of environmental
concerns. A petition already has been filed with the Environmental
Protection Agency to limit the use of 100LL.
Learn about the petition, the EPA’s response, and
actions the GA industry is taking to create a suitable alternative
fuel at AOPA Aviation Summit in Tampa, Fla. In addition to learning
about these initiatives, you’ll have a chance to participate in the
“Future of Avgas” forum at 2 p.m. on Nov. 5.
To have the panel address your fuel-related
questions,
submit your questions now to AOPA. AOPA will review the
questions and ask the panelists.
Panelists include some of the leaders spearheading
the move from leaded to unleaded fuel: General Aviation
Manufacturers Association Vice President of Certification Walter
Desrosier, EAA Vice President of Industry and Regulatory Affairs
Earl Lawrence, EPA Nonroad Center Director Glenn Passavant, and FAA
Fuels Specialist Mark Rumizen.
