Dear Mark,
Thank you to those who participated in the Air Safety
Institute’s free seminar, “Frederick Airspace and Tower: A
New Class of Operations,” on April 24. For those who were
unable to attend, you can experience with friends and fellow
pilots the
recorded seminar version
and download a handy kneeboard-formatted “Frederick Tower
and Class D Airspace Quick Reference Card” with frequencies,
radio procedures, an airport diagram, and a reminder of
Class D requirements.
We enjoyed hosting the event and helping you and fellow area
pilots prepare for when Class D airspace takes effect at
Frederick Municipal Airport
on May 1, 2012, with KFDK’s control tower opening. If you
have further questions about operating at Frederick,
email the Air Safety Institute
to get answers from controllers.
Safe Flying!
